I had the pleasure of being a contributing writer along with the other writers below for the newly released publication Skype for Business Unleashed (12/8/2016).

I’m quite familiar with the unleased series of books having used Exchange 2007, 2010 and Lync 2010, 2013 Unleashed for a number of years as reference material.
Rui Maximo one of the principal authors of the publication and also a great and really helpful ex colleague of mine invited me to be involved in reviewing a number of chapters. Big thanks to Rui for allowing me to be involved in what was a very enjoyable experience.

I contributed to the following chapters:-
• Chapter 3 – Business Cases for Skype for Business Server 2015
• Chapter 5 – Microsoft Skype for Business Server 2015 Edge Server
• Chapter 10 – Dependent Services
• Chapter 11 – Firewall, Reverse Proxy and Security Requirements
• Chapter 25 – Mobile Clients

Having worked extensively in the past on a very complex SfB mobile solution for a large 250k seat (with some great help from Rui I may add!) deployment the mobile chapter is probably my favourite.

Gurdeep Pall was the Corporate Vice President of Office Lync & Speech Group with a lengthy history with OCS, Lync and now Skype for Business. He’s moving onto a new role and transitioning out of SfB but it’s great to see his feedback on social media below regarding this new publication which has been a combined effort from a number SfB professionals in the industry.
